Holographic shades are often sub classified as also having a glitter or shimmer finish/formula. So, what is holographic nail polish? How does it work? Well, holo lacquers use special pigments that create a rainbow-like, multidimensional effect when light bounces off their surface. These unique pigments diffract and refract light, causing the polish to 'shift' in colour when viewed at different angles.
