Make Your Neon Polishes POP!

Make Your Neon Polishes POP!

Neon polishes can be really fun to wear.

Here's a couple of tricks you can use to really dial up the brightness and intensity of them!

In order to achieve maximum vibrancy and coverage, many manufacturers strongly recommend the application of a white base coat (i.e. layer of plain white polish) before applying neon lacquer.

Make sure that you apply the white base after your normal nail preparation routine (including the application of a general protective base coat, prior to the white base).

The purpose of the white base is to create a more vivid colour result, whilst also requiring less coats of lacquer. A plain white lacquer such as OPI's Alpine Snow is a perfect polish to use.

If you prefer a glossy finish, please apply a shiny top coat at the end, as many neon polishes tend to dry to a semi-matte/satin finishOPI's clear Top Coat is a good choice for this.

Please Note: Neon polishes are sometimes referred to as "Brights" by OPI. You can click here to view all of the Neon and/or Brights polishes in stock at Discount Cosmetics Australia.
